Just a note or two...

Would you believe I got a bit of a sunburn yesterday? Honest, I did. It was such a beautiful day so I took a book and a lawn chair and headed out back. I was really only out there for an hour or so, but that's all it took to get a little red in the face. It was 76 degrees and sunny. Today is only going to get to 59 and rain. Gizmo is disappointed because she was sure enjoying having the doors and windows open. It's just too cool today for that. She tried to get me up at a little after 5:00 this morning. WHAT!!! It wasn't even starting to get light out yet.

My neighbor who owns the field across the street had his horse out yesterday for a good run. I really enjoyed watching them. I haven't seen him riding since last fall so I'm sure the horse was enjoying the outing as much as the rider was. And, of course, I was getting a lot of enjoyment out of it too. I can smell Spring in the air and can hardly wait for Summer to emerge. I've been looking at the web cams of Panama City Beach, which is filled with Spring Breaker's right now and also St. George Island. I've vacationed there a lot and really love the privacy of having a beach house for a week. Here is the link to the web cams if you are interested in checking them out...http://www.beachview.com/160beachview.htm.

My daughter has some orientation to go to this afternoon for her new job so I will have Brandon (7 yr. old) for a few hours. Since the weather isn't going to be great we will probably take this opportunity to play games. he likes Parcheesi (which I recently bought) and for cards he likes Rummy (which he is really pretty good at for his age). We'll have fun no matter what we play. He likes winning but is a pretty good sport when he doesn't. LOL. He will be here soon so I better close this out. Hope everyone is having a great week.

Hugs...

  2. I love Parcheesi!!

I hope all goes well with your daughter's orientation!

I'm so pale that when I first start getting outside in the spring, I have to be kind of careful. I can easily burn within 15 minutes or so. Wearing a hat definitely helps.

Cooler here today, too, but at least we know spring is on its way!

  8. It must have been beautiful to watch the horse and rider out for a stroll. I haven't seen anything like that for many years. (I don't count the NYC mounted police.) d

  10. I live in Florida and I never sit in the sun. I see people down here that their skin looks like leather because the worship the tropical sun which is much stronger than up north.

    Put on the sunscreen!

  11. I have never been able to get a tan. Always wanted to when I was young. Better put your sunscreen on to enjoy the sun. Bossy aren't I?

  12. I hope you enjoyed your grandson. We had sun yesterday and today too and it was so pretty. But I didn't sit outside in it. I missed my opportunity and now rain is predicted for tonight and this weekend. Darn!
