Yay, Yankees Candles!
A rare moment for brother and sister.
My beautiful Jackie.
My handsome (and toothless) Brandon.
I hope everyone had as nice a holiday as I did. Just our little family together for good eats, gift giving and lot's of love and fellowship. We do the majority of our Christmas celebrating on Christmas Eve. We had planned a meal for Christmas Day but my daughter had a splitting headache (Christmas let-down I think) so we moved it until this afternoon. Nothing fancy...just a ham, potato salad, a couple of veggies and dinner rolls. And since this is the South, we can't forget the sweet tea. My granddaughter is at her dad's so it will just be my oldest son, my daughter and g/son and me. Like I said, nothing fancy.
I got some really nice gifts from the kids. I'm hard to buy for, mostly because I really don't need anything. I did get a couple of pretty nightgowns and a blouse from daughter. Also got some good smelling candles from the kids. My son got me three pairs of small hoop earrings (I love them) and wrapped them in a pretty sea shell box with a cross lid...really pretty. He also got me some good old Yankee Candles (my absolute favorite candles). My favorite gift was a Titan's coffee mug. Who'd a thunk it huh? lol. I also got jumbo cashews, a can of cookies, a box of chocolates, cheese and sausages and a bag of dum dums (little suckers) and candy canes from the g/kids. I think they are trying to fatten me up. lol. I really had to laugh at the dum dums because I always keep a container of them on my table for the kids when they come in. So they really just took care of themselves with that gift.
Anyway, that's my Christmas. Now I've got to try to catch up with everyone else. It was really odd not to be computing and visiting blogs for a few days. It feels like its' been a month. I'm sure it will take me a couple days to get to everyone. I can't wait to see how everyone else spent the holiday.
Hugs, Joyce
